Each person has his or her own way of doing things, specially when it is creative activity. For me the most important matter in designing is to stablish a design philosophy. Each building needs and should have its own appropriate principle that directs the design. Little by little the philosophy of the building starts to take shape in my mind and suddenly I have the feeling that it is ready. Then I draw. When that moment comes I feel a very special excitement, I feel like taking the pencil and I start drawing lines, squares, circles and shapes, and the piece of paper becomes alive, my imagination flies, and the shapes are created, architecture appears...
